We are an accounting firm with a portfolio of small-business clients. Our services include financial statement reviews, book-keeping, payroll, tax and related consultation.

We are seeking the services of an individual on a short-term basis (4 to 6 months), to be reviewed at the end of the period with the possibility of an extension.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a professional designation in accounting and should have completed the foundational or level 1 courses of the CGA or ACCA or be nearing completion.

Experience:

• At least 4 years working in a similar environment (i.e. an accounting or audit firm);
• Ability to perform book-keeping for a variety of small businesses with minimal supervision;
• Sound knowledge and experience in the use of Quickbooks
• Familiarity with tax structure (personal, corporate & Vat) would be an asset

Working arrangements:

• Will be hired as an independent sub-contractor
• Must be flexible and available during normal working hours (Monday-Friday 9-5). The position will require 2-3 days per week (14-21 hours).
